HOSPITALS, HOSPITALITY AND HOSTING

HOSPITALS
Getting ready to take 90 litres of juice and 180 hand knitted hats to the
baby orphanage.  And in the process our team decided to help the orphanage
put in doors on the new garage - to help protect the vehicle they use to transport children.

Drop at the Russian Clinic - 75 bottles of Prenatal/Postnatal vitamins.  Each bottle will cover six months.  This is a gift from Vitamin Angels.

Next drop - the Baby Hospital - giving them a batch of baby clothing and items...a
gift from a "secret" donor.

Then the last stop - the Adult Hospital - Dr. Jytson's work.  Here are some students,
learning how to fold gauze and make bandages.  This hospital is a learning hospital.

HOSPITALITY
After lunch we were off to the Kemin Senior home - visiting our babshkusa and diadushkas.
We did hand massages for those who wanted the special gift.  Here is Lydia - my special little babushka.  Lydia taught higher mathematics for 30 years.  She told me her hands were so soft because she never did hard work - just used pen, chalk and paper.  MEMORIES..

Little Vika was so excited with her hand massage - she smelled her hands and then rubbed her face.  She was all smiles at the wonderful smell.

Jenny listened to stories and heard the hearts of each person she spent time with.  This dear babushka feels the pain of her losses in her life.  Jenny spent time with her and shared love and hope in her own heart for joy to flood and cover her pain.

Just a wonderful room is beginning to emerge.  The walls are done - and now the rest of the renovations are continuing.  New windows from Unicef are in and they were working on the bathroom on this day.  Oh what changes are happening at this place.

Jenny was such a blessing - and likely will say to you - the blessing was really more hers to be able to serve than those being served.

Finally before leaving, Brian challenged our Kemin Chess Champion Alexy to a game.  Alexy told  us we would need to bring him cake - because Brian was going to lose.  HMMMMM Guess what -
BRIAN WON!

A STORM BREWING OVER THE HILLS

HOSTING
Finally - the day ended with a wonderful party hosted by the LAMb Team held at Dayspring.   John cooked a delicious meal for the Dayspring family,  Beikut Orphanage children and staff, our team and a visiting team from the USA.

We gave the children  (about 22) a great evening after the dinner of pop corn, juice and a super Veggie Tales Video in Russian.

After the video - we were entertained by these two youth.  About a year ago they each wanted the national instrument - Kamoose.  They asked our team members Pastor David and Jayne to purchase them and they agreed under one condition.  They needed to work for them - so they had to keep track of chores they were doing at the orphanage for this.  After the required number of hours were completed David and Jayne purchased two Kmooses.  Well the story continues.  The children can play beautifully.  In face, our dear little fellow below won a national competition and is being sent to Turkey to compete in an international competition.

HOPE AND DIGNITY - WORK AND EARN - AND BE REWARDED
