LIFE SKILLS FOR YOUTH....BECOMING AN "ADULT" AT 16 CAN BE SO SCARY!

Post 1 of lots of stuff....
LIFE SKILL TRAINER HIRED

We are excited to announce the hiring of Katya and Andrey.  Both will be teaching life skills at Red River Orphanage starting this week.  In addition to hiring Katya, we have hired one of our Jeremiah girls, Ira.  She too will be working with Katya and Andrey helping in the teaching of life skills.

Oh HAPPY DAYS

This first group will last 10 weeks – with classes being about 1 ½ hours each and done weekly.  After this pilot group, we will have two classes a week…providing the director sees the benefit and the youth are willing.

And we will have more to share about Red River another time...as we are scheduling training now for the Fall with the staff.
Ira on the right...out celebrating for the day.  Did some shopping with them - getting some summer
clothing and a few little treats.

We will also begin having a “study” group at Jeremiah House this week.  We are very encouraged by this and excited that our leader is both eager and gifted in working with youth.

Jeremiah youth are always ready for a new friend and someone to help them.  Blair
was here - just being kind and loving and she was a great HIT!  Blair, we miss you!
